Galactic Funk — straight from the cosmos, via Amsterdam
Kapsule started with a simple idea: bring real funk back. Not the watered-down version, not the nostalgic pastiche — the actual thing. Tight grooves, horn-driven melodies, a bass line that gets under your skin and refuses to leave.
The band came together through a shared obsession with the golden era of funk and disco — Parliament, Earth Wind & Fire, Chic — and a collective restlessness with how music had moved on without it. So they dragged it into the present. They call it Galactic Funk.
It's got the DNA of the 70s with something contemporary threaded through it: sharper production, unexpected textures, funky guitar, soulful keys and vocals, and the kind of explosive live energy that makes a room feel entirely different the moment they walk in.
Every track is an invitation. Once you're in the universe of Kapsule, it's pretty hard to leave.
